Pinnacle Sports is a privately owned sportsbook operating out the Netherlands Antilles and was established in 1998 to target a specific and untapped niche in the sportsbook industry by offering a high volume and low margin model which, combined with efficient odds, enabled it to provide the customer with a combination of the best odds and highest limits in the industry. While other sportsbooks used advertising and bonuses to attract customers, Pinnacle’s reduced margin pricing model attracted bettors looking for long term value and they were able to produce profits from their high turnover despite lower margins.

Pinnacle exited the USA market in January 2007 following the passing of the Security and Accountability For Every Port Act (2006) which shocked the gaming industry as they were a major player in the market and between 60-65% of their customers were located in the USA. Despite this, they continued to prosper and, as they offer their product in 14 languages and have customers in over 100 countries, still remain a major industry player. Such is the efficiency of pricing at Pinnacle that the rest of the offshore industry, as well as the sportsbooks in Las Vegas, keep a close eye on Pinnacle’s line movement for fear of being exposed; it is not unusual for smaller sportsbooks to solely monitor Pinnacle’s lines and move only when Pinnacle moves.

Pinnacle are recommended for any player due to their limits and pricing on both American and European sports and although they have minimum limits of $1, their lack of telephone and live chat customer service to keep costs low (it is overwhelmingly done via email) means it may not be the ideal sportsbook for the novice bettor.
