Eurobet is the European online brand of the privately owned Gala Coral Group which dates back to 1926 when Joe Coral first opened a betting service at greyhound courses in England which over time extended to a large portfolio of operations at both greyhound and speedway tracks. In 1961, Coral were one of the first companies to open betting shops, following 1960 legislation which allowed off course betting shops for the first time and now boasts over 2000 betting shops in the United Kingdom as well as in Italy which operate under the Eurobet brand.
In 2005 Coral merged with Gala Bingo, a bingo and casino operator with both retail and online divisions, to become the Gala Coral Group and so giving the group an unrivaled portfolio in terms of size and diversification to the point where they own over 170+ bingo clubs, 30+ casino venues and 1500+ retail betting shops as well as their online presence with hundreds of thousands of customers and they even boast the first ever British bingo millionaire who won the equivalent of $1.6 million for a $1 stake.
As the name would suggest, Eurobet promotes itself to the European market with a bias towards its British roots. However, they do offer a wide range of both markets and betting options although the more obscure markets tend to be victim to a high level of vigorish. Although the customer service is of a high standard it is only available for 12 hours of the day, from 10am-10pm GMT, so it may not be the preferable option for people requiring more around the clock assistance.
